Election Frenzy
It's safe to assume that almost every blog will have something to say about the elections happening today. In keeping with the zeigeist, here goes.
If one more person calls me today to ask if I have voted, I'm going to scream. For everyone's info, I shamefully failed in my civic duty...and because of that, Dubya might win.
Dubya will win because of his positions on petty issues like gay rights and the perception that he is some kind of divinely appointed crusader. What his supporters don't know is that by the time Dubya is done, we would probably be at war with uh...I don't know, Canada or something.
I didn't vote (because I didn't register early) and I feel bad. What makes me feel better though is that after what happened in 2000, the idea that my vote is soooo important is a bit over stretched.
Well, had I voted, I would have of course voted for Kerry. After the counting is over, I will add one to the number of votes for Kerry and see if it would have made a difference.
